we could build a good thing

how do you say thank you for people?

these pictures aren’t the greatest.  but the people? they are.

this is lynne.  she has spent days at our new house painting.  i’ll post pictures of the murals she did that bring beauty – like her laugh, like her kindness.

this is a picture of blake and joshua.  blake recently had knee surgery.  this small fact has not stopped him from teaching josh everything necessary so that our kitchen can come together.  blake is amazing.  he has more knowledge about building/repair/fixing in his little finger than josh and i have in both of our entire bodies.

this is mandy.  she spent seven hours painting our dining room yesterday.  it’s perfect. just like her.

josh mergos showed up and saved the day.  he cut through walls.  he cut down doors.  he traversed the attic.  he’s fixing the plumbing today.  how exactly did we get such friends?

there are so many more people not pictured here.

my thankful list today is flesh and blood.  without whom we would be homeless.  or at least not in such attractive digs. thank you all.  thank you!

  1. Do you realize the list of names is shaped like a stair spindle…? Another little magic. I think I speak for all of us who worked on you new home…we’re just returning a little bit of the joy you and Josh ladle out to the rest of us on a regular basis. It’s totally our pleasure!!! Bless you guys!!!!
